Boonar & Sudnji dan

This year’s edition of ‘Sudnji dan’ (The Judgement Day), independent festival of marketing communications organized by nonprofit organization ‘Kulturna ofenziva’ who’s primary goal is promotion of authorship and creativity, is organizationally enhanced with Boonar operatives. Zets, Dražen Zeljković and Ashas Adzhun participate in organization and realization of the part of the program. Dražen did a beautiful job on FAQ videos post production while Zets and Ashas are working on ‘Piss of Art’ program. That project will include around dozen artists who will illustrate on ‘ToiToi’ movable toilets making their users have much better time in them. More on that project soon at Boonar and ‘Sudnji dan’ websites.

Our boy Milivoj

Ballistic Publishing published ‘New Crusades’, work by our own Milivoj Popović in the newest edition for their book ‘Expose’ which contains ‘Finest digital art in the known universe’.

This great achievement is only being topped by Simplylightwave publishing his latest tutorial for them on their website. Go on their website and see it for yourself.

Dražen + Eyeon

The time has come to present some new work that came from a little machine that was being held in a back room! That machine loves to render image sequences made in Eyeon’s Fusion software, especially when it has to deal with some nice techniques such as keying, tracking, camera projections and compositing!
While we’re at it, there’s a new music video which feature unique post-production skills from Dražen Zeljković for a legendary Croatian band Prljavo Kazalište.

Enjoy it!

Zetsology

(Marko Prpić) Zets didn’t stay idle this late spring and early summer, no no! He developed a new clothing concept for T-shirts called Humans are Strange displaying on them his thoughts on the most indestructible things of all – human stupidity.

If you think you won’t do well as a display on human stupidity and won’t wear T-shirts there is something else for you – Zets Jewelry – Street Warrior and Konop bracelets, made out of stainless bicycle chains and rope.

Be in the know and get it before everyone else does and look cool and fresh this summer – who knows – they say there will be an Armageddon in 2012, so there’s a chance there won’t be another summer – so look good in the probably last summer ever!

Copywriter on Tour

Ashas Adzhun – copywriter guitar player turned bass player

Ashas went again on not-so-small tour standing in for Tuna, the bass player fot the mighty Joe 4, great noise-rock band from Zagreb, Croatia. Although he is a guitar player, and a left hand one, he bravely took the right-handed bass and played upside down with no effort at all.

Three weeks and then some of traveling, drinking, no sleep and everything else that comes with a Rock Star lifestyle didn’t kill him but made him stronger and he returned home safe & sound. 7100+ kilometers were a piece of cake for this road dog and he got to see again his favorite city in the world again – Berlin!

With Joe 4 on tour was also this very very very cool American politically charged noise rock band United Sons of Toil – now go listen to both bands and cry your hearts out for not seeing them alive, or reach nirvana if you did!

Dražen Zeljković for Adastra

Dražen made an effort and directed a great music video for up and coming Croatian pop group Adastra for a song ‘Svima se dogodi’, which is a first HD video for the group.

‘The idea of a music video is to make a contrast between a life and death – there is no winner but you always have to be careful’ says Dražen. Some compositing tehniques were used to make fantasy and dreamy image sequences.

Video already has more than 140,000 views on Youtube – go Dražen!

Reponya – rocking horse

Our Charlie’s Angels Vlatka Blakšić, Ivona Vuletić & Lana Hudina who hide their super secret agent alter egos as being product designers kept themselves busy on this hot summer days working on a prototype for a toy – rocking horse. After public presentation of a prototype in fall they hope there’ll be interest for serial production.

This is what girls themselves have to say on the subject:

Reponya | concept and short description

Rocking horse that comes from the time of our grandmothers and grandfathers has been transformed from a handcrafted product to a product adjusted for serial production. Today’s horse toy is made for developing motor skills and despite its long history and various solutions, there is still room for further steps in the development of this product.

In order to achieve the highest possible emotional value, Reponya’s form stems from the experience design, while its commercial and formal values follow. In developing the preliminary design, emphasis is placed on a positive perception of physical and virtual perceptions for users. Besides swinging, to this nostalgic toy we added a new dynamic element of slight vertical motion enabled by the materials and construction. Its amorphous form made out of natural materials along with proper dimensions correspond with the safety standards for children.

Horse body is made out of bent plywood, with thickness of 20 mm, the handle is made out of metal tube and its attached to the underside of the base element. The handle is covered with leather in order to increase safety when child is rocking to prevent slipping, and was selected as a natural material whose color accentuates the playfulness of the horse. Plywood has two colors visible in intersection (coats of colored wood and coats of natural wood color). Horse tail is also made of strips of leather so that horse maintains the original character.

This toy participates on Quercus2011 contest and already won second place on exhibition in Sarajevo, Bosnia and Hercegovina.

Passion Clubs

Presented with the term passion clubs, you probably wouldn’t think of golf clubs, let alone door handles – but there you go! Seems Alan and Krešimir went around golf clubs and picked up all the broken clubs nobody wanted and made a new career for them – to serve proudly as door handles. Not really, but those handles were really modeled after real golf clubs. Knowing a player’s passion for golf, the project received a logical extension and a new application that will surely bring delight to many golf enthusiasts and other users who want a different door handles.

The project was created due to the manufacturer’s analysis of the production supply and the need for something innovative and fresh on the market. Cool idea, wouldn’t you say? Killer looks without being completely unusable – good job! Tvico designed it and Jelušić did 3D modeling and rendering.
